223 (At Last)
This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
While writing this song I couldn't bring myself to say anything other than what was already said. This is the account of Adam meeting his wife for the first time ever. His first reaction is to identify that she is, and always was, part of him. The words “at last” reveal a level of relief he must have been feeling for not having a partner in the world God had made for him, which prompted the lyrics “God, of all You have given me, You saved the best for last.”
